Western Strategy Board Game
Pioneers in Peril: Welcome to Peril, USA
"You spent almost everything you had just to get here. Your neighbor is as trustworthy as the Bandit. Just another plot on Boot Hill."
Pioneers in Peril drops you into a lawless frontier town west of the Mississippi. This frontier-themed tabletop game puts you in a lawless settlement where you stake claims, harvest resources, build your homestead, and try not to get buried in the process. The Bandit does not care about your plans.
Core Mechanics
The Bandit
The Bandit is neutral chaos — not a weapon you wield, but a threat you contain. At the end of each turn, the active player rolls dice to determine where the Bandit strikes. The dice don't care whose turn it is. The Bandit can raid your neighbor. It can raid you. It plays no favorites. Everyone runs it; no one controls it. Direct conflict between players comes from other actions (like Dispute Claim) — the Bandit itself is just dice-driven chaos with a face. Scales cleanly from 2 to 4 players — no dummy player, no unbalanced asymmetry.
Real-Time Shootouts
When bullets fly, turn order stops. A real-time card-flipping mechanic that rewards quick hands and nerve. No waiting. No analysis paralysis. Just draw.
Player Elimination
Players can be eliminated. This is intentional. The threat of permanent death drives every decision, every alliance, every betrayal. If that's not for you, this isn't your game.

Handcrafted Components
Every wooden component is laser-etched and cut by hand from wood. The game board, resource tokens, building tiles, character pieces, custom dice — all assembled in California. Game cards are professionally printed by a card-manufacturing partner.
The wood is renewable, and the cards and packaging are paper-based. The only non-renewable material in the box is the ink on the cards.
Wood is the medium. The weight, the grain, the texture. It changes how the game feels on the table.
